About Janek Pawlik

Based in Franklin, Tennessee, Janek Pawlik is a member of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineering and has an extensive background in operations management. While with Siebel Systems, Inc., in the early 2000s, he was responsible for the technology consulting practice’s global profit and loss. Janek Pawlik also guided business development efforts spanning interactive selling solution (ISS) product lines such as eConfigurator and eAdvisor.

Completing his BS at the GMI Engineering & Management Institute in Flint, Michigan, Mr. Pawlik gained experience in various automotive manufacturing functions through cooperative internships. He subsequently earned a graduate degree in the field with a distribution and logistics concentration at Purdue University.

While working on an MBA at the University of Michigan, Mr. Pawlik spearheaded an international consulting project as a William Davidson Institute fellow that brought the business school to collaborate with Whirlpool Europe B.V. His analytical work helped identify support strategies for boosting sales and market share, and he developed a framework for entering transitional economies of the mid 1990s, such as those in Central Europe. Janek Pawlik’s recommendations were incorporated within Whirlpool’s European sales strategy, and earned him commendation from the Whirlpool CEO.
